Nosh ("we," "us," or "our") is a food delivery platform operated by The Golden Bubbie LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service").

Account information: phone number, name, and role (customer, restaurant, or driver)
Payment information: processed securely by Stripe; we never store full card numbers
Delivery address: street address for order delivery
Order history: restaurants, items, times, and delivery details
For drivers: identity verification information processed by Checkr for background checks
For restaurants: business name, menu, pricing, and hours
Communications: messages between customers, restaurants, and drivers during active orders

Information Collected Automatically

Location: your approximate location to show nearby restaurants and enable delivery (only when the app is in use)
Device information: device type, operating system, and app version
Usage data: how you interact with the app

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the Service
To process orders and payments
To connect customers, restaurants, and drivers
To send order updates and account notifications via SMS
To verify driver eligibility through background checks
To respond to safety reports and complaints
To comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only as needed to operate the Service:

With other users of your order: customers see driver name/photo; drivers see customer name and delivery address; restaurants see order details
With service providers: Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), Supabase (database hosting), Checkr (driver background checks), Anthropic (chat features)
For legal reasons: when required by law, court order, or to protect safety

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Your Rights and Choices

Access and update: you can view and edit your account information in the app
Delete your account: email hello@noshtheapp.com and we will delete your account within 30 days
Location: you can disable location permissions in your device settings (some features require location to work)
SMS: reply STOP to any Nosh text to unsubscribe from non-transactional messages

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication, and Row Level Security on our database. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Children's Privacy

Nosh is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us at hello@noshtheapp.com.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification before taking effect.
